Teams Unite for Joplin Fundraisers Under Way

The Cardinals are joining with the Kansas City Royals, MLB & the MLB PA to help the Joplin Community recover and rebuild after one of the deadliest tornadoes in American history struck the town May 22.

The Cardinals are directing their fundraising efforts to their charitable foundation Cardinals Care to help the thousands of Joplin area children impacted by the disaster.


Fans can contribute to the Cardinals Care Joplin Recovery Fund in a variety of ways:

  1. Donate any amount on-line at
  2. Text the word JOPLIN to 32020 to donate $10.
  3. Call the Cardinals 314.345.9000 charge line to donate any amount.  Please tell the operator that you would like to donate to the Cardinals Care Joplin Recovery Fun.
  4. Donate cash to one of the Cardinals Care volunteers outside one of the gates on Friday Night.
  5. Purchase a commemorative “Teams Unite for Joplin” patch at the Cardinals Team store or online at for $10, while supplies last.  This is the same patch that is being worn by the Cardinals and Royals Players each game of the three game series.
  6. Purchase a $1 scratch-off ticket on Sunday (you must be present to win) for chance to win an autographed Cardinals Jersey off the back of a Cardinals player.  Each jersey is game used and includes the Teams Unite for Joplin patch.  A portion of the proceeds benefit the Cardinals Care Joplin Recovery Fund, while a portion will go to Prostate Cancer Research & Cardinals Care.
  7. Bid on items in one of the three auctions:
