Thousands of Visitors Coming to Springfield for Group Events

A variety of groups will be in Springfield over the next couple months, including several that are big enough the attendees are booking rooms at hotels throughout the city.

Large groups coming to Springfield soon are:

  • April 21-23 – Lake Country Soccer Ozarks Coca-Cola Dr Pepper Cup, 8,000 attendees, 2,000 room nights

  • April 26-29 – Spyderfest, 2,500 attendees, 2000 room nights

  • May 2-8 – Heart of America Conference Baseball Tournament, 1,100 attendees, 1,400 room nights

  • May 5-7 – Missouri Youth Soccer Association Spring Presidents Cup, 2,700 attendees, 1,150 room nights

  • May 26-28 – National Street Rod Association Mid-America Street Rod Nationals, 5,000 attendees, 3,690 room nights

Local businesses are encouraged to welcome groups on their marquees and in other ways, and to prepare for large numbers of people shopping, dining and visiting attractions.

  • April 21-22 – Missouri State High School Activities Association Speech, Debate & Theatre State Championships, 4,000 attendees, 700 room nights
  • April 22-26 – Bankers Advertising National Sales Meeting, 70 attendees, 170 room nights
  • April 22-25 – Great Lakes Valley Conference Golf Championship, 250 attendees, 175 room nights
  • April 22-23 – USSSA Baseball Tournament, 1,000 attendees, 100 room nights
  • April 24-26 – Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod Minnesota District WELS Spring Pastors’ Conference, 180 attendees, 150 room nights
  • April 27-29 – Missouri District United Pentecostal Church Ladies Conference, 1,200 attendees, 546 room nights
  • April 28-30 – Sons of the American Revolution State Conference, 100 attendees, 150 room nights

May

  • May 3-6 – National Christian HomeSchool Championships Spring Nationals – Golf Weekend, 1,000 attendees, 249 room nights
  • May 9-14 – Great Lakes Valley Conference Baseball Tournament, 1,500 attendees, 642 room nights
  • May 11-13 – National Christian HomeSchool Championships Spring Nationals – Track Weekend, 1,000 attendees, 491 room nights
  • May 13-14 – USSSA Baseball Tournament, 1,000 attendees, 100 room nights
  • May 15-16 – Missouri State High School Activities Association Boys State Golf Championships
  • May 19-20 – Southwest Home Education Ministry 19th Annual Homeschool Convention, 1,500 attendees, 105 room nights

The lists above represent groups booked by the Convention & Visitors Bureau as well as groups booked directly through hotels and event venues. It does not represent every group coming to the city. The statistics represent anticipated attendees and room nights and are subject to change.
