State of the Airport Presentation Set for May 25

Springfield-Branson National Airport will present a state of the airport program at 3:30 p.m. May 25 at the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce.

Among the highlights:

  • Officials indicate there’s a good chance the airport will break the 1 million passenger mark this year, an impressive milestone, but also evidence of our region’s vibrant economy.
  • A new flight school, in partnership with Ozarks Technical Community College, is taking off and will help address a growing national pilot shortage in the long run.
  • In the past 18 months, the airport has added three new non-stop destinations – Charlotte, Destin/Fort Walton Beach and Houston – and next week officials will provide an update on potential new air service changes.

Please RSVP by sending an email to Jen Johnson at jen@springfieldchamber.com.
