The Convention & Visitors Bureau is now publishing an Event Guide twice annually. The 12-page magazine-style guide is a marketing tool that will be used to encourage travel to the city. The bureau mailed 15,000 copies of the inaugural spring/summer issue to consumers and 5,000 copies are available at the CVB offices, 815 E. St.
The CVB is producing an event guide for distribution to visitors. The guide will be published twice a year and feature large events that are open to the public and appeal to visitors. Celine Roberts has joined the CVB staff as advertising sales assistant in the marketing department. Celine works closely with Jane Rips, partner development manager, in informing business owners about how the bureau markets the city to visitors and how partnering with the bureau gets those visitors through the doors of local retailers, restaurants and attractions.
Production for the 2017 True Talk campaign is complete with a variety of businesses participating. The campaign includes one-minute videos and blog posts featuring local business owners explaining why they love living and working in Springfield.
